Welcome to Hvönn restaurant in Skálholt, where Icelandic ingredients and food culture meet in a modern and warm experience. We draw inspiration from nature, greenhouses and nearby farmers, and work with what the land and the seasons offer each time.

At Hvönn, the emphasis is on pure Icelandic ingredients, fermented drinks and cuisine such as kombucha, kefir and koji, and the use of all ingredients in the spirit of sustainability and respect for nature.

The cuisine is both warm and creative, and guests find a taste of Iceland as it appears today — vibrant, simple, and full of character.
